Co-op House Fund Scholarship

The American Association of University Women promotes societal change, equity for women, education and self-development over the life span. In 1940, the Fort Collins Branch purchased a house and operated it as a cooperative home for women students of Colorado State University for 30 years. The house was sold and the interest from the money of the sale consititutes the Cooperative House Fund from which some scholarships are awarded to CSU or Front Range Community College students annually.

The eligibility requirements are:

 

  1. Upper Class (Junior or Senior) non-traditional student
  2. Colorado Resident
  3. Demonstrated financial need
  4. Minimum 3.0 GPA
  5. Application must be received by May 8, 2010
  6. Recipients will be notified approximately June 30, 2010

Non-traditional female student may be defined as:

  • First generation earning a bachelor's degree
  • Over 22 years of age
  • Parent
  • Prior military service
  • Widowed
  • Medical condition that delayed schooling
  • Under-represented field of study

There will be two $1,500 scholarships available. There is no fee to apply for this scholarship.
